FLOATERS Everything is energy, the human body, mind and spirit. The external and internal energies should be balanced, the various energies inside should also be balanced with each other. The principle of inter-connectedness also applies to different physical aspects of our bodies, for example, the liver organ co-relates with the eye, tendons, anger, spring and wind. The liver is most affected by stress and emotions, so are our eyes. Relax in the best way that appeals to you. All we are telling you is that you can feel emotional, express emotions but don't hold them. If you are irritated often or stressed out easily then you need an outlet. Though expression also should be in the norms of well being. Vitreous body is the clear gel that fills the space between the lens and the retina of the human eye. This liquid must be clear enough for light to pass through it. Eye floaters are undissolved vitreous gel in the eye, floating in the gel-like fluid (vitreous). This dead and dried gel detaches with the retina and cast shadows on the retina. It is a natural sign of ageing. Sometimes the eye ages faster than the body. They are more noticeable when we look at a bright light. They may appear as spots, strings, cobwebs which float in front of the eye since they do not let the light pass through. Sometimes when the floaters pull of the retina, they cause a tear with haemorrhage, and retinal detachment. The dryness energy of the vitreous body can be balanced, which can also prevent further damage. Liver is the organ we work upon and also on the heart, kidneys and lungs. The energy of the liver, lung, heart and kidneys is regulated by removing all stagnation and irregularities. Treatment on Chakra level-Anahata, Vishudha and Swadishtana also stop the degeneration. There are a lot of modalities and strategies to look after the eye and the disturbing floaters and flash lights.

BRIGHT EYES AND DIVINE SMILES Each year the birth anniversary Prof. Park Jae Woo the originator of sujok therapy is celebrated with reverence. Sujok therapists all over the world pay their homage to their guru by holding free sujok medical camps, awareness workshops and introductory classes. Our master devoted his full life to develop this science. Sujok is acupressure , acupuncture, color therapy, magnet therapy, twist therapy, exercises like Sam Won Dong and Sam Von Gong, meditation, direction therapy, time acupuncture, palm leaf therapy, seed therapy etc. His scientific works include homo system of body correspondence, six ki therapy, eight origin theory, diamond energy, tri-origin theory, m-particle theory, smile yoga and many more. He has explained the oriental wisdom in terms of modern science. He was a visionary par excellence. My whole day introductory training in Sujok at the “Hyderabad Children Aid Society” was in reality a blessing to me and my therapists. The students at the orphanage were so receptive to the course and to us is unmatched . The children learnt the techniques of Sujok with great ease. I am sure they will be able to tackle initially small problems like back ache, headache, eye problems and so on with hand of a healer. The little children knew that they would not get certificates like their elder sisters who are above 10th grade. It is amazing to recollect, and gives me goose bumps to write that class 2 children could remember and tell us about pressure points with amazing ease. I am thankful to Ms. Jeny Gupta (Secretary) and the caretakers who have only love for the children in their heart. The Hyderabad Children's Aid Society at Nanalnagar, Hyderabad is a temple of love and affection. Not just as a human being but as healer I must comment that the children look very healthy, happy and intelligent. It was just amazing to see very few may be 3 to 4 in whole gathering of children we saw needed spectacles. I must write here that good eyes are due to healthy body organs especially liver. The healthy and balanced diet, good rules and regulations, open atmosphere, not much contact with cell phones and television sets and no junk food are some of good habits to be practiced. Talking of the eyes, it is advisable that we look away from the computer screen in intervals to some other direction for a minute or two. The fixed gaze at the computer screen or children playing video games can cause myopia (short sightedness) and amblyopia ( lazy eye ) Healthy eating keeps the liver in good shape and ultimately the eyes remain healthier.

CONSTIPATION Constipation can be defined as slow bowel movement which means a person is not passing stool every day, or he is not clearing the intestine completely, or he is not clearing at the same time every day. Normally stool should be formed, like a banana, should not be hard like pebbles. If your stool floats in the pot it is either full of gas or unabsorbed fat. Colour of the stool can also speak volumes about your health. In Sujok the intestine can be stimulated to improve its health as shown in the diagram, by massaging the designated area in the direction of arrows, which coincides with the actual movement of the intestine. Colour can be applied as a method of colour therapy. Putting green colour to the large intestine will give the deficient urge to defecate and help in giving peristaltic movement to the intestine. If the stool is hard the same diagram can be massaged, also putting red colour, instead of the green will help you further. If stool is like pebbles, like that of goat’s, small and separated, then same can be drawn in yellow colour to give the humidity. We can also put these colours as 1st day Green, 2nd day Red and 3rd day Yellow. Once you start understanding colours you can start using them as per your digestion. Massage and colour, both if done for sometime regularly will cure any chronic constipation or related problems like depression, migraine, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, acidity, hair loss, graying and baldness. INDIAN HERBS • Triphla : a combination of amla, haritaki, bibhitaki can be taken at night. • Turmeric powder dissolved in milk or warm water can be taken in the night. Turmeric kills fungi and bacteria and reduces inflammation. Hence a good cure for constipation and diarrhea. FOOD • Drinking enough water about 8 to 10 glasses a day. • Fiber food sweeps the waste matter in the intestine. Apples, plums or prunes, pear, kiwi, broccoli, carrots, flax seeds, chia seeds and oats. At least three to four of these items should be consumed every day. If the stool is too dry (like small pebbles) specially in small children and older adults, a tablespoon of castor oil or cow ghee can be taken at night with milk, soup or warm water. EXERCISE It is very important to be active throughout the day. Sam wong gong and sam wong dong exercises help to relieve constipation. In yogic exercise Supta matsyandrasana is considered very helpful. Early morning walk is highly recommended. DON’TS Any edible item that dries your mouth will give constipation. Red meats, breads especially white, very finely grounded flour (maida), noodles and pasta, fast foods, processed foods and frozen dinners, alcohol, caffeine in excess, some supplements like iron and calcium, and dairy products.

HEALTHY WEALTHY AND WISE WITH VEGETABLES Healthy eating, Sleeping well, concentrating in work, keeping a happy profile, spending happy time with family and friends, not popping pills and not complaining about health are signs of good health. Since food helps our body to grow and repair, everyone who cooks is a healer, a doctor and a nurse, so dear home doctors please think and cook. we need to feel healthy, energetic, pain free, comfortable, sleep well, and do normal activities like walking, talking, digesting food with ease without feeling heavy. Too many times running to the toilet or sitting for long passing rocks is not a happy life. Eat to live or live to eat is a question we can joke about. But on a more serious note if we eat consciously I am sure it is a boon to our health. If there is any discomfort with the body or mind, altering the food can bring ease, for example if there is problem at work and we still eat food which is difficult to digest we will feel more unwell, so in such situations we must definitely go for foods which are easy on the stomach and generally by eating them the brain releases happy hormones. The easiest way to keep comfortable and light or happy with our body is to follow a diet with about 60 percentage of vegetables, that makes it about 6 cups of vegetables. These vegetables can be added with little rice or millets to make a meal. People with weak digestion should consume only steamed or cooked vegetables and later on raw can be added when their digestion improves. Vegetables should start from breakfast otherwise you will not reach your target. A handful of soaked nuts for vegetarians, and moderate amount of fish, chicken, or eggs for non vegetarians, could be also good for the body. Greens, sprouts, with salad vegetables, soups, boiled vegetables, with a lot of changes and new ideas from the world cuisines to local foods, gourds of all varieties, beans etc are great for the stomach. Hence Vegetables cover 60 % of your every meal and the rest could be carbohydrates, fats proteins, calcium etc in different forms like meat, pulses, grains, fruits and some dairy. They give energy to the body, keep the digestion and metabolism in good form. When we try this diet for a week or so and if the patient feels healthier and happier, he can adopt this new way of living. Herbal teas like ginger, lemon grass, cinnamon, tulsi, mint, hunza or Kashmiri khava tea to name a few, are good warm drinks to improve metabolism. Infused water with fruits and greens like mint, lemon skins and slices of oranges, cucumbers etc are great as summer coolers. If the problem is inflammation and heat in the body, raw vegetables can help, cereals create a lot of heat hence they should not be consumed in large quantity. Sugar again causes inflammation, so sugar itself is very harmful. fruits for patient who have inflammation in the body should be less sweet, and in a small quantity. Sweets should be consumed with restrain. Dairy is again very debatable, for the feeling of heat, acidity and burning, milk can create a problem, avoiding it for a while, the patient can understand if it agrees with his system or not.
